On June 6, 1944 in World War II Allied forces invaded Northern France by way of beach landings in Normandy, France. Allied Infantry troops began landing on the beaches around 6:30 in the morning. The assault was planned along a 50 mile stretch along the coast. Three veterans shot and killed themselves to death at Veterans Affairs facilities within five days of each other earlier this month. On April 5, 2019 an unnamed veteran shot himself inside his car in the parking lot of the Dublin, Georgia VA Medical Center. Then on April 6, 2019 right outside the main entrance of the Decatur, Georgia VA Medical Center another veteran shot and killed himself.  The last veteran shot himself in a crowded waiting room at an Austin, TX VA clinic on April 9, 2019.
